The Catalina update solidified the change, and even the people holding on to using iTunes had to let go of it. However, we’ve always known that iTunes wasn’t going to be around forever, it was never meant to be an all in one apple device manager, it just ended up doing the work anyway, which is why it’s no surprise that Apple decided that it’s done the job for far too long, and ended up getting rid of it entirely! Admittedly, it wasn’t the best software for the job, but it did the job, so everyone was still using it!
