OR 2) The folder can't be opened because you don't have permission to see its contents. We tried connecting via the 'Go - >Connect To Server' option and while it does connect to the drive it gives one of two errors: 1) The share does not exist on the server. We've tried it when we are logged in as Admin and also logged in as the owner of the shared folder we're trying to copy items to, both with the same result, we're unable to drag/drop anything to the drive. If we explore the drive and navigate to the shared folders using Finder we're unable to drag any files to the drive, we're given the round circle with the line through it over the thumbnail of the file we're trying to copy. We're trying to connect to it from our Macbook's (we have two in the house and both have the same issue) but we're not able to. We've just set up a Verbatim 1TB NAS drive via ethernet connection. Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this, hopefully it is though, since the issues seems to only be with Mac's.
